After an inbound passenger to the southwestern municipality of Chongqing tested positive for the virus, the Chinese mainland reported its first Monkeypox yesterday, on Friday, September 16.
The patient showed dubious side effects, including rashes, while being isolated for Coronavirus examination and is currently getting treatment at an assigned clinic.
All nearby contacts have been found and isolated for clinical observation.
Monkeypox has been showing up on the outskirts of the central Chinese area for some time now. On June 24, Taipei revealed a case imported from Germany.
