Mateo Kovacic stunned fans worldwide as he ridiculously stripped down his underwear and socks following Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester Joined.
The 28-year-old had given a Chelsea ally his matchday stuff. In the freezing weather, he had no intention of hanging around any longer without much to cover himself up.
Kovacic’s acts left many fans confounded by his conclusion then a clip of such became a web sensation via online entertainment. But the Croatia international has come out for the first time since the incident.
Taking to Instagram, he posted a cartoon of himself and his clothing. Saying ‘sorry’ to his better half, Izabel, he inscribed the picture: “Sorry @izakova!”
Mateo Kovacic was conducting for Marc Cucurella in the first half. Chelsea was overwhelmed in midfield by Joined together, and Graham Potter chose to make a strategic change.
