Japanese scientists have created a solar rechargeable cyborg cockroach, which can be used for many purposes, like finding dangerous areas, observing the environment, and rescue tasks.

The Madagascar hissing cockroach is an invertebrate found on an island called Madagascar,250miles away from the African continent.
It is the largest cockroach among its species which is 5 to 7.5cm long when it becomes an adult.
It produces a voice called hissing by exhaling air through its body. It is famous for rotting wood. They are vegetarian.
They are wingless species and have a good ability to climb up. People also keep this cockroach as a pet.
This cyborg cockroach discovery is not new. At the end of 2012, at North Carolina state university, researchers were working on this Madagascar cockroach.
They make a backpack without a wire attached to the cockroach, which is controlled by a remote.
The main problem of planting a backpack in the cyborg is that, according to old research, wires are connected to ccockroaches’ cerci which
contain sensory nerves. When an electric pulse is given, they start the locomotive and then it is controlled by a emote.
But in previous research, there was a problem with recharging the battery.
Because the power of the battery discharges, cyborg cockroaches become normal cockroaches, and they run away.
According to research by a RIKEN researcher, the backpack contains a rechargeable battery working with solar energy. One problem was the movement of cockroaches.
Because of the implantation of a solar rechargeable battery, it might happen that the cyborg does not move comfortably.
There are two steps involved in implanting the backpack into the cockroach. One module is the stimulation module attached to the thoracic region of the cockroach.
The second step is the solar cell module attached to the abdominal area of the cockroach.
Due to the segmented body of the cockroach, it was quite difficult to implant the solar rechargeable battery. In dangerous situations, they could escape because of their segmentation.
But when planting a backpack to make the cockroach into a cyborg, its ability to move would be affected.
Because of a movement problem with the cockroach, researchers have made a very thin solar rechargeable battery and performed many experiments to check the normal movement of the cockroach after implantation of the backpack.
The thin film of the solar battery is 17 times more delicate than the human hair.
This thinner film of a solar rechargeable battery is attached to the cockroach, and it was observed that there is no difficulty moving the cyborg cockroach.
This cyborg cockroach is a great invention in the field of technology. It will help humans a lot.
